Verses to Pray With
The LORD Bless Thee and Keep Thee
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee.
Numbers 6:24–26
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: the LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: the LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
What is happening
This is the blessing God gave Aaron and his sons to speak over the people of Israel. It is still spoken at the end of services and over children.
Why it matters
It asks for three things: to be blessed and kept, to be shown grace, and to be given peace.
Scales
- Small, 12 × 16 in — More intimate. The work sits within the room rather than leading it.
- Classic, 18 × 24 in — Our natural starting point: present enough to hold the wall, with room to breathe around it.
- Large, 24 × 32 in — More presence across the room. The work becomes a stronger architectural element.
