Verses to Pray With
Mount Up with Wings as Eagles
They shall mount up with wings as eagles.
Isaiah 40:31
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
What is happening
Isaiah 40 is a chapter of comfort for people who are worn out. This verse closes it with a promise about those who wait.
Why it matters
Strength is renewed by waiting, and the picture is of an eagle that does not flap but rides the wind.
Scales
- Small, 12 × 16 in — More intimate. The work sits within the room rather than leading it.
- Classic, 18 × 24 in — Our natural starting point: present enough to hold the wall, with room to breathe around it.
- Large, 24 × 32 in — More presence across the room. The work becomes a stronger architectural element.
