The Words of Jesus
Follow Me
Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.
Matthew 4:19–20
And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. And they straightway left their nets, and followed him.
What is happening
Jesus is walking by the Sea of Galilee when he sees two brothers, Simon called Peter and Andrew, casting a net. These are the first of his disciples.
Why it matters
He calls them in the middle of their work. The answer is immediate: they leave their nets.
Scales
- Small, 12 × 16 in — More intimate. The work sits within the room rather than leading it.
- Classic, 18 × 24 in — Our natural starting point: present enough to hold the wall, with room to breathe around it.
- Large, 24 × 32 in — More presence across the room. The work becomes a stronger architectural element.
